Re: bullying supervisor
As said before this supervisor is probably out of his comfort zone and lack understanding in his role.It don't take a ILM or a MBA to snoop on workers. Napoleon Hill ( A managment training specialist) said the managers should focus outwardly in improving their department/ team's profile as well as improving their and one's own skills. Badly "focused managers" looks at " inward issues" constantly correcting people, catching people ( playing cop) and over usage of the disciplinary procedures.

Some managers think " the Gordon Ramsay" approach is the best way forward but Ramsey play for the camera. Dick head manager simply haven't got a clue how to inspire their workers and often or not blames workers for the poor morale.

As said in GI Jane " ..there's no such thing as bad team ...but bad leaders".

What happened to shitting in their shoes?

Much more satisfying than getting bent out of shape over a knobhead or mardy cow.

Funny too

"hard to believe that shouting & swearing at staff might upset them"

I reckon people who work in kitchens, building sites and even trading floors are probably used to it! If anything I'd expect a civil servant at the top level of government would need thick skin?

I reckon you couldn't substantiate that if your life depended on it.

Manuel, there are GROWN men on here bickering daily about Brexit and Covid, calling each other by pet names and having a wankfest about gaming consoles and you think I need help?

It make me chuckle when she claimed it was unintended if she did upset people
Yes ... hard to believe that shouting & swearing at staff might upset them
She as the Minister in various depts is the most senior person. Interesting to see what would have happened if more junior staff had responded with similar levels of shouting & swearing
Understand she was told several times to calm down and act professionally.
Let’s see the full report so we can see if Johnson has any reason to over rule.
At the moment he is just in Trump mode not accepting anything he doesn’t like

Re: bullying supervisor
What I understand from the Patel report is that as she didn’t bully on purpose, it was a natural thing then it’s fine. So all those c@@@s on here who are one naturally it’s ok.

It's ok, Boris reckons if it's unintentional bullying it doesn't matter. HTH.

'Turn up, smash it out, get paid, fuck off home. If you find yourself embedded in wars with people who you consider idiots then you're doing the whole thing wrong, IMO'

I spend my life arguing with people I know to be idiots and I love it as I am right.

Unions have no power anymore. They're merely a minor irritation to an employer these days.

Re: bullying supervisor
First step is join a union. Get legal advice, representation, find support from others. Get wise.
